Snake charmer dies from cobra bite

MAGURA:  A snake charmer, who used to rear snakes at his house at Tupi Para village in Sreepur upazila, died from cobra bite on Sunday evening. The deceased's family members said Rashedul Biswas, 30, son of late Chhaken Biswas, reared snakes in his house for long. He fell seriously sick after his snake bit him on Saturday morning. He was taken to local shamans. He died on way to Faridpur Medical College and Hospital (RMCH) on Sunday as his condition deteriorated, reports BSS.

BD to be turned into  middle-income country

Momtaj Uddin Nandail Upazila Chairman Abdul Malek Chowdhury Shwapon Mayor Rafiq Uddin Bhuyian UP Chairman Amdadul Hoque Bhuyian  Freedom Fighter Commander Md.Majharul Islam Fokir Adv, Jalal Uuddin as special guests Chief Guest LGRD Minister declared second class status of Nandail Municipal. He also proclaimed 400 core money wll be allotted for the betterment of the rural roads construction.
 
Human chain in Gafargaon protesting killing of Rohingyas

Gafargaon (Mymensingh) Correspondent:  A human-chain has been observed by Gafargaon Upazila and Pourosava of  Bangladesh Human Rights Commission formed a human chain  protesting   mass-killing , raping, oppression of Muslim Rohingyas in  Myanmar at Gafargaon under Mymensingh recently.   Anwar Hossain Firoj , President of Gafargaon Upazila Human Rights commission presided over the human chain  at Gafargaon Railway station chottor on Saturday noon. Dr.K.M.Ehsan Advocate ,President of  Upazila Anti-corruption Committee , Abdul Hamid Bachhu, president of Pourosava Human Rights Commission, Robel Mahmud ,General Secretary of Gafargaon Upazila Human Rights commission , lecturer Golam Md.Faroki ,president of  Gafargaon  Udhichi Unit, Lecturer Mahbubul Alam Manik, lecturer Sabbir Kamal , Journalist Ajim Uddin master addressed the human-chain meeting .  Mir Jahangir Hossain ,General Secretary of Gafargaon pourosava Human Rights commission conducted the meeting

2 injured in Joypurhat passengers-cops clash

JOYPURHAT: Two people suffered wounds in a clash between passengers and Government Railway Police (GRP) at Akkelpur Railway Station in Akkelpur upazilaon Tuesdaynight. Assistant stationmaster of Akkelpur Railway Station Hasibul Alam said the clash between two groups of passengers broke out centering holding seats at Rajshahi-bound 'Titumir Intercity Train' around7:30 pm.  On information, railway police appeared at the spot and tried to disperse the gathering.  At one stage, a group of passengers swooped on the GRP men, forcing them to lob teargas canisters and fire rubber bullets to bring the situation under control, leaving Suman, 24, and Aminur, 34, injured with rubber bullets reports UNB.
