Bio-energy expert of Germany meets DU VC

Karsten Bechtel, a bio-energy expert of Germany called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman at the latter's office on the campus on Monday.
Director of the Institute of Energy of DU Prof Dr Saiful Huque and Assistant Prof Dr SM Nasif Shams were present on the occasion, said a DU press release.
During the meeting, they stressed the need for development of renewable energy sector in Bangladesh.
They also discussed the possibilities of setting up bio-energy testing lab at the Institute of Energy of DU with the financial assistance and technological support from Germany, the release added.
