Bangladesh suffer massive defeat in AFC U-16 Women's Championship

  • Print

Defending champions North Korea were in no mood flirt as they dumped hapless inexperienced Bangladesh side by 0-9 goals in their group B match of the AFC U-16 Women's Championship held on Monday at the Chonburi Stadium in Thailand.
North Korea proved too heavy for Bangladesh as they scored all the goals effortlessly and comfortably. The Bangladesh side looked too tired on the pitch and beaten by the pace of the North Korean girls.
North Korea took just five minutes to open the scoring before doubling the margin three minutes later. North Korea took 4-0 lead at the breather before adding five more goals in the remaining proceeding.
Bangladesh will play their second match against three-time champions Japan on Thursday (September 14).
