Bangladesh face North Korea today

Bangladesh Under-16 Women's Football team will face defending champions North Korea in the eight-team final round of the AFC Under-16 Championship at the Chonburi Stadium in Thailand today (Monday).
The Group B battle of the tournament will begin at 4 pm (Bangladesh time).
Planning to go to play match by match in the tournament, Bangladesh team head coach Golam Rabbani Choton said, "Our girls are mentally ready to fight in their first match. They're very excited to play a good football for the country and want to do a good result."
"We're ready to play competitive match with every team in this tournament and will try our best to play the best football," Choton told reporters ahead of the match day on Sunday.
"Our girls had practice and had long term preparation for more than one year in China, South Korea and Japan which enabled our girls to achieve a lot of experience," Choton added.
Earlier on Friday, Bangladesh U-16 women's team, led by Krishna Rani Sarker, reached Chonburi Province of Thailand and had light physical training at the Bang Sean beach before participating in the official practice session in the afternoon.
In the remaining matches, the Bangladesh team will face Japan and Australia on September 14 and 17 respectively.
Bangladesh team, which qualified for the final round of the Asian meet for the first time as the unbeaten champions of Group C eliminating Iran, Singapore, Kyrgyzstan, Chinese Taipei and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), were groomed and nursed for a record timing of one year, spending more than Tk 3 crore.
On the way to clinching the Group C title, Bangladesh women's beat IR Iran 3-0, Singapore 5-0, Kyrgyzstan 10-0, Chinese Taipei 4-2 and the UAE by 4-0 goals in Dhaka last year.
The Group A comprises hosts Thailand, China, South Korean and Laos.
Bangladesh U16 squad: Krishna Rani Sarker (captain), Tahura Khatun, Maria Manda, Sirat Jahan Swapna, Ankhi Khatun, Namza, Mahmuda, Rumki, Masura Parvin, Sheuly, Anai Mogini, Nila, Shamsunnahar, Mishrat Jahan Mousumi, Sanjida, Marzia, Monika Chakma, Ishrat Jahan Rantna, Razia Khatun and Anuching Mogini.
