Tongi Amzad Ali School & College emerged as the champions of the Walton 1st Inter-College Women's Baseball Tournament defeating Viqarunnisa Noon School & College by 12-8 points in the final at Sultana Kamal Women's Sports Complex in the city's Dhanmondi on Thursday.
Jui of Viqarunnisa Noon School & College was adjudged the Player of the Tournament.
After the final match, Operative Director and Head of Sports & Welfare Department of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest, while Advisor of ATN Bangla Mir Md Motahar Hasan was with him as the special guest.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Baseball-Softball Association Aminul Islam Liton was present at the time.
A total of eight teams splitting into two groups took part in the baseball competition. The participating teams were: Tongi Amzad Ali School & College, Viqarunnisa Noon School & College, Rajarbag Police Lines School & College, Dhaka Commerce College, Holy Cross College, Nur Mohammad College, Green James College and Central Women's College.
