Walton 1st Inter-University Football Tournament starts tomorrow

The Walton 1st Inter-University Football Tournament starts tomorrow at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.
Sonali Otit Club and Green University of Bangladesh will jointly arrange the football meet. Walton Group is the title sponsor of the football competition, while the tournament is powered by Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited and Hamim Group is the co-sponsor of the football meet.
Marking the ensuing football tournament, a press conference was held at the conference room of National Sports Council on Wednesday. Secretary of Youth and Sports of Bangladesh Awami League Harunur Rashid was the chief guest of the conference, while Chairman of Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited Manjoor Kader, Senior Vice-President of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited Md Shamsuddoha, Vice-Chancellor of Green University of Bangladesh Professor Dr Md Golam Samdani Fakir, Operative Director and Head of Sports and Welfare Department of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn were with him as special guests. Member Secretary of the Tournament Committee Sheikh Md Aslam and other start footballers and member of Sonali Otit Club were present at the time. Hasanuzzaman Khan Bablu conducted the programme, while President of Sonali Otit Club and national awardee footballer Khurshid Alam Babul presided over the programme.
A total of 20 universities will take part in the upcoming football tournament. They are: Ahsanullah University of Science & Technology, BRAC University, City University, Daffodil International University, DUET, East West University, Far East International University, Gana University, Independent University Bangladesh, IUBAT, Prime Asia University, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Sonargaon University, Southern University Chittagong, U LAB, Southeast University, Stamford University Bangladesh, North South University, Bangladesh University of Textiles and Green University of Bangladesh.
