Two-day int'l art exhibition begins at DU

A two-day 'International Art Exhibition' began on Thursday at the Zainul Gallery of Fine Art Faculty on Dhaka University (DU) campus.
DU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique inaugurated the exhibition as the chief guest.
DU Fine Art Faculty and the Slade School of Fine Art of UCL, UK are organizing the exhibition jointly in cooperation with the British Council, Dhaka.
Fine Art Faculty Dean Prof. Nisar Hossain presided over the inaugural session while Country Director of British Council Barbara Wickham and former Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Prof. Dr. Nazrul Islam addressed it as special guests.
Professor of DU Sculpture Department Lala Rukh Selim delivered welcome address and Director of the Slade School of Fine Art of UCL Prof. Dr. Susan Collins gave vote of thanks in the function.
Addressing the inaugural function, Prof. Arefin Siddique said Dhaka University and British Council have been working together for development of education and research.
