Course on Chinese language at NUB

Northern University Bangladesh (NUB) launched Chinese Language and Culture Teaching program at Bangladesh Institute of International Studies (BIIS) Centre in the city recently.
Prof Dr AYM Abdullah, Chairman NUB Trust and Vice Chancellor Northern University of Business and Technology Khulna was present on the occasion as chief guest while Prof Dr Anwar Hossain, Vice Chancellor, NUB chaired the program.
Prof Dr Anwarul Karim, Pro-Vice Chancellor and Anwar Hossain, Treasurer were also present as special guests.  
Lt Col (Retd) Shahadat Hossain Chowdhury, a teacher, researcher and promoter of Chinese Language and Culture in Bangladesh graced the occasion as guest of honor.
The program was moved by Lt Col (Retd) Aqtedar Ahmed Siddiqui, Director Development and Int'l Affairs of NUB and NUBTK. There were also some distinguished guests present in the program.
Prof Dr AYM Abdullah in his speech said, now there exists a good relationship between Bangladesh and China in terms of business and commerce.
China is one of the leading countries in the global economy. He therefore urged the students to learn the Chinese Language and be familiar with Chinese culture.
He also said that they could also get opportunities of higher studies in China, if they have the proficiency in the language.
The chair of the program thanked the guest of honor for his cooperation in launching the session and the Chairman of NUB Trust for the initiative.
